Where We Sail
The Maryland Model Yacht Club holds races, usually, the third Saturday of each month from March to November. We race on Lake Kittamaqundi, across from the Mall in Columbia, MD. (directions below).

Race Schedule: Every 3rd Sat. from March through November we race: Victoria Class: 9:30am - 11:30am East Coast 12 Meter Class: 12:00am - 2:00pm U.S. One Meter Class: 2:30pm - 4:30pm (Skippers meeting 30 min. before race) |

From Baltimore to Lake Kittamaqundi:Take I-695 to Exit 16 (I-70 West), get off at Exit 87A (US-29 South), get off US-29 at the Columbia Town Center ramp. That will be Little Patuxent Parkway, stay in the left lane. After you go under the pedestrian bridge make your first left into the parking lot, the lake is straight ahead. |

From Washington to Lake Kittamaqundi:Take I-95 north to Exit 41 (Route 175 northwest). After you pass over US-29 stay in the left lane. You will see Columbia Mall on your right. After you go under the pedestrian bridge make your first left into the parking lot, the lake is straight ahead. If you get lost ask someone how to get to CLYDE's restaurant on lake Kittamaqundi. |
