The Pond (behind Apple Ford)

The Maryland Model Yacht Club races Victorias and any one meter r/c sailboats (ODOMs, Seawinds, etc.) on  the third Saturday of each month from March to November.  EC-12s are raced (basically) the 1st and last Saturday of the month, but check the EC-12 tab for more specifics.

For the 2012 Season, we race at "THE POND", near Apple Ford Dealership in Columbia, MD. (directions below).

                Driving:

  Travel on interstate 95 in the direction of Maryland Rt 175.
  - turn onto Rt 175 in the direction Columbia.
  - turn south (left) on to Snowden River Parkway
  -  at the first light, turn right on McGaw Road
  -  at the first intersection turn right on Stanford Blvd - travel less than a mile and MMYCs Pond is on the left.

The Pond is on private property and may only be used for scheduled events.  ALL OTHER PONDS in Columbia are available for r/c boating unless other wise posted.
