Maryland Model Yacht Club

The Maryland Model Yacht Club is a fun group of enthusiastic sailors from around the Baltimore-Washington area. The club is sanctioned by the AMYA (#205). We get together every 3rd Saturday from March to November. For the 2009 season we are sailing at Wilde Lake Park , across from the Mall in Columbia, MD. We sail Victorias, East Coast 12 meters, and US One meters (primarily ODOMs). Some members have only one boat and come for their class only, or stick around to watch the other classes. Others have a boat for each of the three classes and end up racing all day long.

	Race Schedule: Every 3rd Sat. from March through November we race: Victoria Class: 9:30am - 11:30am East Coast 12 Meter Class: 12:00am -  2:00pm U.S. One Meter Class: 2:30pm -  4:30pm (Skippers meeting 30 min. before race)

Membership:
Club dues are $15.00 for the year. Membership privileges include: A place in the sun, bragging rights, and the utmost respect of fellow sailors at the lake. Plus, if you happen to rank in the top 5 in your class at the end of each series, you get a handsome trophy! You are welcome to come and race with us if you are not yet a member, but non-member scores are thrown out at the end of the series. For information on how to become a member, contact John.
